Coaching vs Planning

Coaching
Your ideas about investing have a huge impact on the success or failure of your investing experience. It is a financial coach’s job to provide a combination of education, information, and the type of environment that will allow you to gain insight into your own beliefs and values.

Without this awareness you could become overly influenced by the countless opinions of pervasive television, newspaper, magazine and Internet media – which can overwhelm your peace of mind.
A coach can help you gain clarity, find your true purpose, and simplify the complex world of finance.

A coach:

  • helps you find your own dreams, values and answers.
  • shares information and raises awareness so you can focus on what you want, not what actions the differing experts would advise you to take.
  • helps you become independently aware and accountable.
listens and helps you manage your emotions so you can attain your life-long financial goals.
  • works for a fee.

Financial Planning
A financial planner recommends solutions, analyzes financial data and may or may not produce a comprehensive financial plan.

A planner may also implement of an investment strategy that he or she designed with recommendations that could be based on current market conditions, decisions of the client, or any number of standards.

Financial planners often work for a brokerage firm, or use a broker/dealer to implement their trades. It is sometimes difficult to ascertain whether the planner is recommending investments that are in your best interest, or if they are motivated by some other incentive. A planner may charge a fee, a commission, or both.

At Osprey Money Management we can help you implement your own investment strategy, which our coaching methods can help you discover.
